15 Western Australian miners have lost their job after posting their rendition of the viral Harlem Shake video. Management has cited “safety risks” as the reason for the dismissal.
This is not the first time the recording of this video has caused controversy. In February, safety concerns were raised after a college frisbee team and some flight attendants participated in a Harlem Shake flash mob, approx. 30000 feet in the air.
The Harlem Shake viral video depicts a person, usually in a mask, dancing in the middle of a room. When the bass “drops”, chaos ensues as everyone starts dancing.
